The weather was so gorgeous the weekend of Feb 20th that we drove to Mendocino to soak it all in. It was windy, but not cold so we had a marvelous time scampering around the bluffs and rocks at the headlands. Then we just sat and watched the waves, looked for seals and whales (none spotted), and I just tried to be in the moment.
I love love love our NorCal coast and relish every moment I can spend there. Poor Jim has heard the same stories a million times about how we would come over during my childhood for abalone diving, fishing, crabbing, gathering seaweed and camping.
After basking on the bluffs, it was time to shop. I found some beautiful earrings and bought them. They have a bronzey background with teal dragonflys:
Then a few doors down from there, I found a new tasting room: Meyer Family. YUMMM!! I tasted a lovely selection, purchased some to share with Ashley and enjoyed the view from their patio.
After Mendocino, we heading to Fort Bragg to pick up dinner at D'Aurelio's. Of course, still no eating inside so we went to Pomo Bluffs and enjoyed the sunset while we ate.
